Per Diem Hospitalist - Danbury, Connecticut (70 miles from New York City)
Danbury Hospital, part of Nuvance Health, is seeking a per diem Adult Hospitalist at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, Connecticut to join our established and busy program. We are located about 70 miles northeast of New York City in suburban Fairfield County and near the border of Westchester and Putnam Counties in New York. This is an employed position with Nuvance Health Medical Practice and a great moonlighting opportunity to work in in a busy medium size community hospital with a great support structure, friendly consults and collegial work environment. Work two to four shifts per month, either weekdays, weekends or Holidays, typically 8 AM – 6 PM or Nights 8 PM – 8 AM. We offer a competitive hourly rate and eligibility to participate in our 401k program. The ideal candidate will be board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
Established in 1885, Danbury Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital providing Greater Danbury area resident's convenient access to exceptional care. Danbury Hospital has 371 beds and is a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 70,000 ED visits per year. As a teaching hospital, we are associated with University of Vermont College of Medicine, Yale University School of Medicine, Ross University School of Medicine and the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. Our employed Medical Practices includes 900+ physicians and advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout western Connecticut and eastern New York.
Danbury, Connecticut, located on the border of New York State, is about 60 miles northeast of New York City and 60 miles west of Hartford, CT. As part of the greater NY metropolitan area, the city of Danbury enjoys both proximity to New York City culture and access to a wide array of outdoor activities, including hiking, biking, fishing and boating in state and regional parks and preserves. Boston, New York City, New Haven and Hartford are easily accessible via train or car.
