Radiology Tech Aide Wanted at the Sharon Hospital!!
Part Time - 32 hours per week (Friday - Monday 11:00am - 7:30PM 8 hours shifts)
This is a rare opportunity to join our dynamic radiology team here at the Sharon Hospital. In this role you will greet and perform customer service responsibilities for patients, customers and visitors. Responsible for the safe, timely and efficient movement of patients, supplies and equipment to patient care areas. Previous healthcare experience preferred. Summary:
Greets and performs customer service responsibilities for patients, customers and visitors. Responsible for the safe, timely and efficient movement of patients, supplies and equipment to patient care areas.
Responsibilities:
1. Transports patients via gurney, wheelchair and bed to radiology department.
2. Uses two patient identifiers when addressing patients. Cross references requisitions with patient�s chart, room number and wrist identification band for patient identification. |
3. Maintains patient comfort, safety and privacy while transporting. |
4. Communicates to patients nurse when leaving the unit with the patient. |
5. Assists technologist by monitoring the patient when the technologist is out of the suite. |
6. Assists in moving patient to and positioning patient on examining table for procedures. |
7. Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors. |
8. Practices infection control by disinfecting gurneys, slider boards and wheelchairs between patients. |
9. Assists technologist as second staff member during sterile tray set up. |
10. Chaperons patients during breast and pelvic procedures when performed by a male technologist. |
11. Assists the radiology nurse with delivering specimen�s to the laboratory for invasive radiology procedures. |
12. Covers the scheduler�s position during vacation and sick time request. |
13. Prioritizes daily request from technologist for patient transports and communicates any reason as why request cannot be met. |
14. Maintains established hospital departmental policies and procedures, objectives, performance improvement activities, safety, environmental and infection control standards. |
15. Communicates clearly and appropriately to healthcare staff involved in the patients care. 16. Maintains and Models Nuvance Health Values. 17. Demonstrates regular, reliable and predictable attendance. 18. Performs other duties as required. |
