Description

Nuvance Health has a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations — Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut, and Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York — plus multiple primary and specialty care physician practices locations, including The Heart Center, a leading provider of cardiology care, and two urgent care offices. Non-acute care is offered through various affiliates, including the Thompson House for rehabilitation and skilled nursing services, and the Home Care organizations.

 

JOB SUMMARY:
Performs non-nursing skills such as transport of patients, equipment/supplies and other tasks as deemed necessary under the direction of the Director of Education and Training.
Provides a safe, quiet, comfortable environment for patients, visitors, and employees.
Demonstrates accountability for job responsibility and job functions.
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
Licensure/Registration/Certification: None
Work Experience: No minimum prior experience required
 
Physical & Other Factors:
On feet most of the day. Physical exertion during transporting patients and equipment.
Work & Environmental Conditions: Exposed to patient’s conditions and some unpleasant sights, smells and contagious diseases.
 
Job Relationships (Responsible to/for, works with):
Responsible to the Director of Education. Works effectively with members of the health care team, administrative personnel and maintains a cooperative working relationship intradepartmental and interdepartmentally.
