Per Diem Clinician Educator - Outpatient Internal Medicine Physician Opportunity in Danbury, CT

Danbury Hospital, affiliated with Nuvance Health is seeking a Per Diem Clinician Educator for an Outpatient Internal Medicine Teaching Opportunity at the Adult Community Health Center in Danbury, CT (60 miles from NYC). The ideal candidate is a highly competent, board-certified or board-eligible internist, preferably with ambulatory care and teaching experience to precept internal medicine residents and medical students in a primary care clinic as well as seeing patients independently. The qualified applicant would have a love of teaching and dedication to provide excellent patient care in a Federally Qualified Health Center. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in teaching to work with bright, enthusiastic and engaged Residents in a clinic dedicated to the care of underserved patients.

Job Summary:

Provide per diem coverage for three internal medicine resident teams, stepping in to support clinical care as needed to provide consistent and uninterrupted care.
Work closely with internal medicine residents and medical students, leading by example with evidence-based clinical practices, teaching through hands-on patient care, and offering helpful feedback and guidance to support their learning.

Job Requirements:

MD or DO with CT State and Federal Narcotic Use Registration.
Prior experience as an academic physician teaching Residents required.
Have successfully completed an Internal Medicine Residency program and is Board Certified.
Spanish skills strongly desired.
Flexible to work as needed, Monday – Friday. No evenings or weekends.
