Per Diem Clinician Educator - Outpatient Internal Medicine Physician Opportunity in Danbury, CT
Danbury Hospital, affiliated with Nuvance Health is seeking a Per Diem Clinician Educator for an Outpatient Internal Medicine Teaching Opportunity at the Adult Community Health Center in Danbury, CT (60 miles from NYC). The ideal candidate is a highly competent, board-certified or board-eligible internist, preferably with ambulatory care and teaching experience to precept internal medicine residents and medical students in a primary care clinic as well as seeing patients independently.  The qualified applicant would have a love of teaching and dedication to provide excellent patient care in a Federally Qualified Health Center. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in teaching to work with bright, enthusiastic and engaged Residents in a clinic dedicated to the care of underserved patients.
Job Summary: 
  • Provide per diem coverage for three internal medicine resident teams, stepping in to support clinical care as needed to provide consistent and uninterrupted care.
  • Work closely with internal medicine residents and medical students, leading by example with evidence-based clinical practices, teaching through hands-on patient care, and offering helpful feedback and guidance to support their learning. 
 
Job Requirements: 
  • MD or DO with CT State and Federal Narcotic Use Registration.
  • Prior experience as an academic physician teaching Residents required.
  • Have successfully completed an Internal Medicine Residency program and is Board Certified.
  • Spanish skills strongly desired.
  • Flexible to work as needed, Monday – Friday. No evenings or weekends.
