Summary:

The Sr Business Office Financial Analyst supports and controls the BIOMED and IT transaction approval process to budget. The Sr Business Office Financial Analyst will provide guidance to the Business Office Analyst staff and will oversee Business Analyst tasks. This position will work with Biomed and IT leadership on financial issues, projects and contracts as well as provide support to Nuvance Finance. 

Responsibilities:

1. Analyze Current Months MORS with Support Schedule (Salary and Non-Salary) for BIOMED & IT (15%)

2. Prepare Variance comments to be reviewed by Senior MGT (5%)

3. Provide guidance and support the day-to-day tasks for the Business Analyst. (5%)

4. Analyze & Prepare Trend Reports including: (15%)

     a. Non-Budget costs from current and prior years

     b. Reclassification of items incorrectly budgeted or in incorrect cost center

     c. FTE Actual to Budget by cost center

     d. Trend on deficiencies in the budget month over month

     e. NON-PR expense

     f. Depreciation

    g. Corp Adjustments / Accruals

     h. Issues document Corp to BIOMED

5. Partner with Finance for: (5%)

     a. issue remediation

     b. analysis of prepaid schedules & accrual Schedule

     c. monthly collaboration meetings

6. Engage with BIOMED personnel for coding of purchase requisitions. (5%)

7. Create and maintain the accrual model for BIOMED PO report / Dynamics. (5%)

8. Prepare and maintain future Budget Workbooks (5%)

     a. Analyze future Budget to Corp baseline for Budget. (5%)

9. Evaluate contracts for: (10%)

     a. Financial Impact to Budget

     b. Term

     c. ROI / Cost savings

     d. Purchase Requisition structure

     e. Coding

 

10. Report IT Department finance results to the Manager IT Business Operations. (5%)

11. Participate in:

     a. MORS and contract discussions with BIOMED and IT Directors. (5%)

     b. Strategies for Year-end Results. (5%)

     c. Process improvement/ cost savings discussions. (5%)

12. Support cost savings goals in BIOMED & IT. (5%)

13. Maintain and Model Nuvance Health Values.

14. Demonstrates regular, dependable, and predictable attendance.

15. Performs other duties as required.

Education and Experience Requirements:
 
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
 
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience in hospital finance or IT finance setting.
 
 
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:
 
· MS Excel and MS Dynamics
 
· Knowledge of Infor & EPSI is preferred.
 
· Presentation Skills

Other Information:

Communication / Escalation's Skills  - Ability to  communicate risk and provide options  for remediation. 

Ability to work in collaboration with other departments including Purchasing , Legal  &  Nuvance Finance.
