Description

Summary: Responsible for the evaluation, planning, directing and administering of physical therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician. Administers treatments in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability. Assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities
 
Job Requirements:
  • Graduated from accredited physical therapy school with a B.S. or M.S. degree or PhD.
  • NYS PT license or limited permit

Schedule: Weekday coverage for time off and holidays, weekend coverage one weekend day a month minimum - inpatient acute care and inpatient acute rehab units - generally 7:30am - 3:30pm shift but flexible 

 

Working Conditions:

Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity

Occupational: Significant occupational risk

Physical Effort: Very Heavy effort. May exert up to 50 lbs. force

Physical Environment: Significant exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
