Per Diem Physical Therapist – Vassar Brothers Medical Center | Nuvance Health
Location: Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie, NY
Schedule: Day Shift | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM | Rotating Weekend Days
Employment Type: Per Diem
Hourly Rate: $67/hr

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Evaluate and develop personalized treatment plans for patients with a wide range of conditions
  • Deliver engaging, results-focused therapy sessions
  • Educate patients and their families to promote continued success at home
  • Partner with nurses, doctors, and fellow therapists to ensure holistic care
  • Document progress and celebrate patient milestones

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited physical therapy program
  • Experience: Hospital-based physical therapy experience
  • License: New York State PT license (or eligibility with a temporary permit)
  • Qualities: Compassion, motivation, teamwork, and a heart for helping others thrive

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to be on your feet most of the day
  • Some lifting and maneuvering of equipment or patients (up to 50 lbs)
  • Occasional exposure to clinical environment elements (e.g., noise, odors)
