Description

Summary:

The Manager of Revenue Cycle Improvement, Quality and Training at WCHN is  primarily responsible for championing the development, generation, and presentation of information critical to the ongoing measurements and operation of the revenue cycle.  This position provides direction for best practice implementation using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, among other improvement tools in order to identify strategies that result in documented qualitative and quantitative improvement in revenue cycle performance and efficiency. Additional responsibilities include developing measures to monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of new processes and
 systems, as well as ensuring the timeliness and quality of projects. Oversees the training department and conducts research and process design to assist the organization's  leadership in planning and achieving process improvements and service delivery effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

1. Discovers opportunities for process improvement through reviewing performance metric report and collaborating with other departmental leaders, articulates the business case for such changes
2. Designs, implements, and evaluates improvements aimed at increased efficiency, supports the assessment of current revenue cycle functions. Works with internal and external resources, supports the ongoing operation of internal and vendor applications and tools.
3. Establishes organization-wide standardized policies and processes based on industry best practices, incorporating change management principles and delivering high quality results.
4. Supports the annual planning process to establish objectives and performance measures that gauges the effectiveness and efficiency of organizational strategies.
5. Works with other revenue cycle leadership to develop performance measures for staff in various areas and institute ongoing professional development opportunities such as internal certification programs, career ladders, cross-training opportunities, etc.
6. Oversees and manages the training throughout the WCHN Network including but not limited to Scheduling, Registration, Financial Clearance, Patient Accounting, Coding for WCMG, WCHN entities.
7. Leads and facilitates cross-functional team related to training and process improvement to ensure identification of stakeholder needs and effective implementation of change; encompasses developing and presenting orientation and training sessions that enables users and stakeholders to efficiently and effectively
8. Identifies and monitors revenue cycle compliance issues that impact financial goals established to meet organization of objectives.
9. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.

Other Information:

This position requires a minimum formal education of Bachelor Degree and minimum of five years job-related experience.

Required Skills: Extensive knowledge of computer skills, Hospital and Physician billing experience, AR follow up experience, worked with clinical departments, and IT.  Supervisor experience, managing people. Strong skill set in building applications within billing systems.
