Per Diem Advanced Endoscopist–Norwalk Hospital– Norwalk, Connecticut (50 miles from New York City)
Norwalk Hospital, part of Nuvance Health, is seeking a per diem Advanced Endoscopist as we continue to grow our program. We are seeking a board certified gastroenterologist with 4th year Advanced Endoscopy training to cover both advanced and general cases. This is an excellent opportunity to join a long established teaching program that is growing and expanding general and advanced GI services.  Our team includes eight physicians and two advanced practitioners. We perform procedures in a state-of-the-art brand new endoscopy suite. Our Gastroenterology Fellowship is a Yale University School of Medicine level II affiliated, three-year program leading to ABIM certification in Gastroenterology. Norwalk is located one hour outside of New York City in suburban Fairfield County next to Westchester County in New York. We offer a highly competitive per diem rate. Weekday and / or weekend coverage options available. 
Norwalk Hospital has 366 beds and is also a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 50,000 ED visits per year. As a teaching hospital, we are associated with the Vermont College of Medicine, Yale University School of Medicine, Ross University School of Medicine and the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. Our employed Medical Group includes 1000+ physicians and advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout Western Connecticut and eastern New York.
Norwalk Hospital is ideally situated in Fairfield County, Connecticut, along the Long Island Sound. The city of Norwalk is rich in cultural diversity and offers many venues for 4 season outdoor and indoor recreation. There are highly rated public and private schools and universities in our area.  New York City is easily accessible by car or train.  Norwalk Hospital has been a proud part of this community since 1892.
