Attention 

Rehabilitation Technicians! PRN Work!

The Danbury Hospital Outpatient Center is growing and seeks PRN Rehab Techs to assist with patient support and provide support to our team of technologists.  This is a great opportunity to learn and grow within the Physical Therapy field.  To become a PRN employee, you must work 2 shifts per month.  This is a union role and pays based on full years of experience.  Previous experience strongly preferred.  

 

Summary:

To assist clinical staff with patient related activities to provide efficient services to the patient and to optimize productivity.

Responsibilities:

1. Maintains multiple treatment areas/rooms.
2. Sets up and applies all modalities including patient positioning for therapy.
3. Assists with transfers and gait training.
4. May assist with selected procedures in wound care; utilizes sterile techniques, prepares and cleans equipment. Assists with medical waste disposal per department policy.
5. Measures and reports vital signs of patient to therapist.
6. Meets and greets patients/family members.
7. Stocks and orders supplies.
8. Keeps equipment organized and clean & ensures current inspection duties.
9. Assists with distribution of patient satisfaction surveys. May assist with scheduling and clerical duties as needed.
10. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education: HS GRAD/EQUIVALENT

Required:
Minimum Experience: zero to six months
Desired: CPR certification preferred. Bilingual preferred.

Working Conditions:

Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity

Occupational: Some occupational risk

Physical Effort: Very Heavy effort. May exert up to 50 lbs. force

Physical Environment: Generally pleasant working conditions
